Toluca Lake

Situated on just 1.22 square miles, Toluca Lake is one of the most sought-after enclaves in the San Fernando Valley. Formerly known as “Forman Toluca Ranch”, and then later “Toluca Lake Park”, this beautiful land was once a peach and apple orchard before it found its ultimate destiny as a tranquil haven for the Los Angeles elite. Originally a natural spring-fed lake, Toluca Lake’s 6-acre namesake is a private retreat for the surrounding homeowners. Not open to the public, this protected piece of paradise is what started it all. The few dozen homes that look out over the water are rarely available for sale, and are often sold before processing to the many Los Angeles residents anxious to become a local “Tolucan”. Lakeside Golf Club, an esteemed members-only club in the heart of Toluca Lake, offers gorgeous fairways once frequented by the likes of Gene Autry and John Wayne.
